A Sanctuary for Gentle Yoga, Monthly Retreats, and Nervous System Ease

If you’ve always wanted to try yoga but felt scared, unsure, or worried about pain — you’re not alone. Peace in the Now was created for women who crave calm, quiet, and practices that meet them exactly where they are.

My restorative and yin‑based classes are slow, grounding, and accessible for real bodies — especially beginners, introverts, and anyone carrying stress or discomfort. There’s no pressure to perform, no fast flows, and nothing you have to “keep up” with. Just space to breathe, soften, and feel supported.

Each month, I offer mini‑retreats for a simple reset in the middle of real life. And twice a year, we gather for deeply nourishing weekend retreats that help you rest, reflect, and reconnect with yourself.

Every experience is designed to feel like sanctuary — a place where your nervous system can exhale and you can return to yourself gently and without rush.

When you are ready, feel free to explore what I offer:

This space is for you if…

  • You feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stretched thin

  • You want slow, grounding yoga that doesn’t rush your body

  • You’re a beginner or returning to your mat after a long time

  • You prefer quiet spaces and introvert‑friendly guidance

  • You live with pain, tension, or fatigue and need practices that meet you where you are

  • You want emotional safety, clear support, and trauma‑informed teaching

“I avoided yoga for years because everything hurt. Arthritis made me feel like movement just wasn’t for me. After one gentle 1:1 Yin Yoga session with Tanya, something shifted. I felt supported, safe, and actually able to move without fear. Now I attend multiple classes each week — and I’ve even started exploring Vinyasa Foundations. I never thought this would be possible for me.” — Valerie S.

"Tanya’s yin yoga classes are truly something special. She has such a beautiful way of keeping the space professional while still feeling deeply relatable. With just a few yin poses, she’s able to calm and soothe my nervous system in a way that feels safe and grounding.

I genuinely enjoy her energy and feel completely comfortable being guided by her. There’s a quiet confidence and warmth in the way she teaches that makes it easy to fully settle in and let go.

I also love that her classes are online! It makes it so accessible and easy to integrate into my day-to-day life." - Sara A.

For Women Veterans: As a veteran myself, I understand how service can shape the body — the tension we carry, the alertness we can’t turn off, the exhaustion we learn to ignore. My workshops offer a gentle space to reconnect, release, and rebuild trust with your body. You’re welcome here. Thank you for your service.

Pause

It’s the breath that softens overwhelm, the stillness that turns reaction into reflection. A pause isn’t empty—it’s full of clarity, compassion, and quiet strength. It’s where we remember who we are, before the world rushes in.

Calm Down

Find Peace

Meet Tanya, Our Founder

Hi, I’m Tanya — a trauma‑informed yoga teacher and devotional guide helping women find rest, safety, and nervous‑system healing. I didn’t set out to build an app. I set out to build a place I needed — somewhere to breathe, reset, and feel safe in my own rhythm. Over time, that sanctuary grew into everything I now offer, monthly mini‑retreats, annual weekend retreats, restorative and yin‑based yoga classes both online and in person, gentle weekday 15‑minute resets, 1:1 private yoga sessions, and the Driftly and Calmaura calmness apps.

As a veteran, designer, and someone who has lived through both structure and softness, I’ve learned that emotional wellness isn’t a luxury — it’s a daily necessity. Driftly and Calmaura were born from that truth. They’re not just apps. They’re sanctuaries you can carry with you. Just like my classes and retreats, they offer gentle spaces where you can begin again, whether you’re overwhelmed, joyful, or somewhere in between.

Every ritual, every word, every visual — in my classes, my retreats, and my apps — was crafted with care. Because I believe healing happens in the smallest moments, and those moments deserve to feel beautiful.

Welcome to the sanctuary. I’m so glad you’re here.

Designer, Developer Instructor and Founder

I couldn’t have built any of this without God—every breath, every idea, every gentle ritual was guided by something far greater than me. I was led here with purpose, and I believe you were too. If you’ve found Peace in the Now, it’s not by accident—it’s an invitation.

The Art of Pause and Reflection

From Overwhelm to Clarity

A pause clears the fog. One breath, one beat—and the next step becomes visible. Not rushed. Not reactive. Just right.

From Conflict to Compassion

In the heat of tension, pause makes space. It softens the edges, invites perspective, and reminds us to listen with grace.

From Joy to Depth

Even joy needs stillness. A pause lets us soak it in, reflect, and carry it forward with gratitude.

From Chaos to Rest

At the beginning and end of the day, pause is the doorway to a great beginning and restful sleep. It calms the nervous system and welcomes the body home.

Peace in the Now invites you to embrace the quiet beauty of intentional living—where each breath, each ritual, and each movement is designed to restore your rhythm. Let’s begin a journey of rest, reflection, and emotional renewal together.
